Anton Jackson is an African-American man who seems harmless enough on the surface, but is a secret agent in the all-black Brotherhood, an entity that levels the playing field against the all-white establishment. Partnered with the sassy, stunning Sistah Girl, our hero must first undergo the ultimate attitude adjustment and trade in his 'fro and platforms for tennis sweaters and penny loafers. Once the transformation is complete, he's ready to take on the evil perpetrators of Operation Whitewash–Mr Feather, Penelope Snow aka White She Devil, and, ultimately, The Man.
An Afro-American organization, the B.R.O.T.H.E.R.H.O.O.D., is in permanent fight against a white organization, The Man, defending the values of the black people in North America. When the Afro-American candidate Gen. Warren Boutwell (Billy Dee Williams) has a weird behavior in his presidential campaign, the Undercover Brother (Eddie Griffin) is hired to work undercover in the white organization and find what happened with the potential candidate.
Undercover Brother is a great film and the comedy is effortless. The cast give very good performances and viewers are treated to a simple and humorous plot. In every essence this is a &#39;feel good&#39; movie, it is not made to be intellectually complex or thought provoking. Nor is there any expectation to claim an Oscar. Feel good movies make you feel light-hearted and very satisfied that you watched it, these are the kind of movies you love to watch and keep a copy to see it again. It cannot be compared to Schinder&#39;s list which is Oscar worthy but not something you feel like seeing again. <br/><br/>The plot is simple and the villains are hilarious in order to convey the light-hearted nature of what would be a serious issue in any other context. Talented and intelligent writers make the material tale a big leap. Eddie Griffin is fantastic and does a great job as the lead actor and Denise Richards is stunning. This is a very strong feel good film that will both entertain and make you feel good. <br/><br/>8.5/10
Then you will love this movie. It is silly, it makes fun of itself beautifully, and is in no way, shape, or form meant to be taken seriously. The comedic timing was perfect from beginning to end. As I read some of the other comments from users on this site, I gathered that the gen-x crowd is the one who will get the most enjoyment out of this film. For me, it was a treat.
The picture is crammed with shameless satire, engaging moments of pure silliness and jokes that border on the outrageous. It combines relentless energy with an aura of good nature for a formula that works.
Actually, when she first meets Anton Jackson in the hall when he knocks her books over, she does say you are &quot;cute in a Theo Huxtable kind of way,&quot; she also says that to smart brother when she is at the Brotherhood
